| Ork warbikes are awesome but the rider model is actually quite weedy looking. To correct this problem I've started using the 3rd edition torso, arms, and head. Just trim off a little plastic from the bottom of the torso so that it's flat, then use one of the standard biker arms, a 3rd edition arm with a choppa, slugga, or whatever, to make a much more appealing model. Blue tac helps greatly to make sure all the parts line up before glueing. |

| After a while metal models can work loose of their bases. To prevent this bend the strip of metal before glueing into the base. This will insure a tight fit in the slot. |

This article was removed 02 May 2007 in response to a letter from those lovely people from the Games Workshop legal department. Previously there was an article here showing how to make some cardboard models. I'm somewhat confused about the legal basis for the complaint, as scratchbuild models can hardly be considered derivatives (especially these ones, which were pretty rubbish looking). From a long read through of the legal stuff on the GW site it seems to be something along the lines of "we don't like crappy looking cardboard models". Still fair enough, they were crap, and I have no desire to cause agro by inflicting them onto peoples monitors :-) |
